Order Of St George Mare Delivers On Rules Debut

Queensworthy (5m Order of St George – Queens Wild, by Westerner) justified strong market support on rules debut in the mares’ bumper at Southwell on Wednesday.

Runner-up on her sole point-to-point start for Denis Murphy, the daughter of Order Of St George was sent off favourite on her first start for Dan Skelton. Positioned in midfield by Harry Skelton, she made headway from three furlongs out and was ridden approaching the final furlong. The bay improved to lead in the final 110 yards and stayed on well to score by two and three quarter lengths.

The Order Of St George mare is owned by Alan Harte and was bred by Robert Guiry.
