Order Of St George Gelding Wins Novices' Hurdle

Orderoftheday (5g Order Of St George – Jolie Landaise, by Beaudelaire) made a winning start over hurdles in the Novices’ Hurdle at Bangor-on-Dee yesterday.

Bred by Sean Gorman, owned by Mrs Diana L Whateley and trained by Olly Murphy, the gelding tracked the leaders throughout, disputed the lead at the fifth, and went on narrowly approaching the second-last flight. Ridden out by Sean Bowen, he stayed on strongly to lead close home and claim the £4,753 winner’s prize.
