Smart Win For Order Of St George’s Seo Linn

Seo Linn (5m Order Of St George - Persian Filly, by Persian Bold) ran out an easy winner of a Killarney maiden contest on Monday.

The Order Of St George mare was a Grade 2 bumper winner at Aintree in April and was posting a first win since that success, striding eight-and-a-half-lengths clear under Billy Lee.

Trained by Paddy Twomey, the five-year-old will now be aimed at picking up some black type on the Flat.

Lee said: said: "She travelled away well today and I was happy in front until the other one [Mytimetoshine] came by me but we went a good even gallop all the way. The gallop helped me and the one thing she did today was she picked up when I gave her a squeeze.

"I thought it was a nice performance and that slower ground has helped a little bit.

"Long term, the objective is to get her black type on the Flat but if her mark stays the same, we might look for a handicap."

Seo Linn was bred by Glashare House Stud.
