Son Of Getaway Makes Winning Debut At Worcester
Trigg (4g Getaway - Rock Chick Supremo, by Scorpion) made the perfect start to his career with an eye-catching victory at Worcester on Monday.
The Dan Skelton-trained and owned four-year-old was settled at the rear of the field under Harry Skelton and began to make headway three furlongs out. Travelling strongly, Trigg led in the final furlong to post a two-length success in the bumper.
Dan Skelton said of the Getaway gelding: "I had no expectations of him at all, we hadn't done that much with him at home, so it's a bit of a surprise really.
"We'd have to upgrade his performance but we'll keep realistic expectations. Harry got off and said it could take a month for it to all sink in with him, but that was lovely to see."
Trigg was bred by Nick Skelton and Judy Craymer.
