Son Of Order Of St George Wins On Hurdling Debut

The Blue Room (5g Order Of St George - Saintly Lady, by Old Vic) made a winning debut over hurdles at Chepstow on Wednesday.

Trained by Olly Murphy, the son of Order Of St George had won a Ffos Las bumper in April and was making it two wins on the bounce with a three-quarter-length success.

Ridden by Sean Bowen, The Blue Room settled in midfield early on and came up to dispute the lead before the final flight. The pair led up the run-in to strike with a further 25 lengths back to the third-placed runner.

Bred by Tom Devereux, the The Blue Room is another promising winner for his sire in recent days, the others including Tuesday's Warwick novice hurdle scorer Ice In The Veins and Friday's Down Royal bumper winner Skerry Hill.
