Wings Of Eagles Mare Gains Deserved First Win

Queen Of The Gales (5m Wings Of Eagles - Tornic Arc, by Arcadio) gained a deserved first success between the flags when landing the five-year-old and over mares maiden at Curraghmore on Sunday.

Trained by Garrett Ahern, the five-year-old had placed three times last season, including when second at Ballingarry in May and third at Bartlemy that same month.

The daughter of Wings Of Eagles was ridden by Jack Collins and the pair made all to register a four-length win. There was a further six lengths back to the third-placed runner.

Queen Of The Gales was bred by Denis Ahern.
