Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Another Good Sale for Jack Christopher
It was another good sale for Jack Christopher in Saratoga this week when his three offerings were led by a $300,000 colt.
Tom McCrocklin was the buyer of that Taylor Made offering, who was bred by Rock Ridge Thoroughbreds. His stakes placed dam Girl Talk has already had success with Coolmore stallions as the dam of American Pharoah’s winning Victory Girl from her two to race. Girl Talk is a daughter of Grade II winner One Caroline, whose other winners include Grade III-placed Improv.
One Caroline was just the latest stakes producer in her family, her own stakes winning dam Powder produced two stakes performers and the dams of two others while Powder’s dam is a half-sister to Horse of the Year St. Jovite among others.
Each of Girl Talk’s first five dams have produced stakes performers.
Jack Christopher is also the sire of a $190,000 colt purchased by Robbie Medina for Snack River Stables at this sale and a $150,000 filly bought by The Elkstone Group.
The sire of the Fasig-Tipton July sale topper, his July yearlings averaged $162,778 with a $150,000 median while his three Saratoga yearlings averaged $213,333 with a $190,000 median.
