Kashel Spring (Australia) Wins At Ballinrobe

Australia Filly Gets Off The Mark In Fine Style

Kashel Spring (3f Australia – Karakama, by Redoute’s Choice) justified strong market support to get off the mark in Monday’s maiden at Ballinrobe.

Dylan Browne McMonagle employed more prominently tactics aboard the Joseph O’Brien-trained filly, racing in touch with the leaders for much of the nine and a half furlong trip. Switched left to challenge three furlongs from home, the daughter of Australia improved to lead after the two-furlong pole and was ridden clear to score by five lengths.

“She's been progressing with experience.,” the winning rider reported. “She had a nice run the last day in Leopardstown, she came home well after breaking slow.

“She put herself in a good position today and I had a good pace to aim at. I just kept it smooth on her, she went through the gears nicely. She's still learning so hopefully more to come.

“She's a very straightforward filly. She has a good attitude and she tries. Hopefully she keeps on improving.”

Bred by Dr Dean Harron, Kashel Spring is owned by the Dr Dean and Mrs Harron Partnership.
