Juvenile Daughter Of Australia Makes Fine Winning Debut

Mama Stralia (2f Australia - Momo No Sekku, by Leroidesanimaux) got off the mark with an easy victory at Salon-De-Provence on Thursday.

The Jerome Andreu-trained filly was ridden by Antonio Orani and settled in midfield before producing a potent turn of foot up the home straight to strike by four lengths.

A homebred for Jean-Claude Seroul, Mama Stralia is a half-sister to the Listed-winning Paco, while her second dam is American Grade 3 scorer Academic Angel.

Mama Stralia is another promising juvenile winner for Australia, whose excellent year has been headed by dual Derby hero Lambourn and Group 1 Coronation Stakes heroine Cercene.
