
Blackbeard Yearlings Bound For The Arqana October Yearling Sale
Nine yearlings from the first crop of Cartier Champion 2YO Blackbeard will sell at the Arqana October Yearling Sale next week.
Among their number is Jamie Railton’s colt from the family of Group 3 winner and Group 1 Cheveley Park Stakes runner-up Moonlight Paradise, as well as the same operation’s colt whose distaff page includes Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe and Prix du Jockey Club victor Peintre Celebre.
Haras de Grandcamp’s offers a half-sister to the dam of last year’s Group 1 Prix Marcel Boussac heroine Vertical Blue, while another well-bred offering is Haras d’Haspel’s granddaughter of multiple American Graded scorer Starformer, herself a daughter of Group 1 Prix de la Foret scorer and Poule d'Essai des Pouliches-placed Etoile Montante.
La Motteraye Consignment will sell a colt out of a half-sister to Group scorers Taniyar, Tanaza and Tarawa, while Fairway Consignment’s filly can count German Group 1 scorer India and French Group 2 winner Ivory Land among her relatives.
Haras de Montaigu’s filly is out of a half-sister to Group 2 Prix Greffulhe winner Baby Rider (by Gleneagles) and from the family of Derby hero Wings Of Eagles.
There is also a filly by the son of No Nay Never who hails from the family of Cheveley Park scorer Pas De Reponse, consigned by Haras du Cadran, in addition to Haras de la Haie Neuve’s filly out of the stakes-placed Saramouche.
