Foals from the second crop of dual Group 1-winning juvenile Blackbeard made up to €82,000 at the Goffs November Foal Sale this week.
The highest-priced lot by the son of No Nay Never was Comerlea Stables’ half-brother to dual Group 3 scorer Rafale Design (by Starspangledbanner), who was purchased by Broadhurst Agency and Ducass L. The page also includes French 1,000 winner Valentine Waltz and Grade 1 Matron Stakes scorer Sense Of Style.
Glenvale Stud went to €68,000 to purchase Rathbran House Stud’s colt out of a Galileo full-sister to the Group 1-placed Robin Hood, while Fionn White bought Castlehyde Stud’s half-brother to the Group 2-placed Symbolize (by Starspangledbanner) for €58,000.
Sandra Russell Bloodstock’s filly from the family of Group 3 Hackwood Stakes winner and Group 1 Sprint Cup runner-up Strath Burn also made €58,000 when selling to Apollo Bloodstock.
Blackbeard is set to be represented by four foals at Tattersalls next week.
