Blackbeard Paddock 6

On To Tattersalls Ireland for Blackbeard’s First Yearlings

Blackbeard is set to be well represented at the Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sale next week with 12 yearlings by the dual Group 1-winning son of No Nay Never going under the hammer.

Noralla Stud Farm will consign a granddaughter of Group 3 winner Kalsa from the family of Group 2 Kilboy Estate Stakes winner and Group 1-placed Bocca Baciata, while following her into the ring will be Manister House Stud’s colt out of the Grade 2-placed Karakatsie.

One yearling in possession of a high-class page is Ballintry Stud’s filly out of Lady Ederle, thus a three-parts sister to Group 2 Coventry Stakes winner and Group 1 Dewhurst Stakes runner-up Arizona and American Grade 2 scorer Nay Lady Nay, both by No Nay Never. Their dam is a daughter of Group 1 Italian Oaks heroine and Group 1 Moyglare Stud Stakes runner-up Bright Generation, also the second dam of French champion two-year-old Dabirsim.

The Castlebridge Consignment’s filly is out of the Irish 1,000 Guineas-placed Princess Sinead, while another of Blackbeard’s fillies out of a high-class dam is Glenvale Stud’s yearling out of Group 2 Cherry Hinton Stakes runner-up Russelliana.

Monksland Stables’ colt is out of the Pivotal mare Scheme and from the family of Prix de Diane heroine Confidential Lady. Another colt with a regal page is Peter Nolan Bloodstock’s grandson of Group 3 Silver Flash Stakes winner Wonderfully, a Galileo sister to Gustav Klimt, Cuff, Blissful and Friendly. It is the further family of Prix de Diane winner Rafha, Invincible Spirit and Kodiac.

Yet another well-related yearling to sell is Baroda Stud’s colt out of Dubawi mare Voice Of Truth, a half-sister to multiple Group 1 winner Rio De La Plata. That makes the yearling a half-brother to American Grade 2 scorer Eternal Hope. Baroda Stud also sells a colt from the family of top-level winners Master Of Hounds, Eishin Apollon and Second Step.

A colt out of a three-parts sister to Group 2 Prix du Calvados scorer Accakaba will be offered by Tradewinds Stud, another yearling with a black-type pedigree is Castlehyde Stud’s half-brother to Group 2 Hungerford Stakes-placed Symbolize (by Starspangledbanner).

At Part II of the sale, Knockainey Stud consigns a colt out of the winning Golden Light, a half-sister to Group 3 scorer Grocer Jack from the family of Fame And Glory and Legatissimo.
