Strong Representation For Blackbeard At Goffs Orby

Dual Group 1-winning two-year-old Blackbeard will be represented by well-bred yearlings from his first crop at next week's Goffs Orby Sale.

Starting proceedings as the very first lot into the ring is Ballylinch Stud’s colt out of the Listed-placed Abilene. He is a half-brother to Group 2 Italian Derby runner-up Juan De Montalban, while Abilene is a half-sister to Listed winner and Group 1 Prix du Moulin runner-up Akatea.

Also going under the hammer at Kildare Paddocks is Glenvale Stud’s grandson of Group 3 scorer Beauty Bright, while Whitehall Stud’s own colt comes from the family of Group 1 Middle Park and Queen Anne Stakes scorer Ad Valorem.

Another colt consigned at Goffs Orby Book 1 is Camas Park Stud’s yearling out of Exceed And Excel mare East Of Eden, a half-sister to Listed scorer Panama Red from the fabled family of Anabaa Blue, Allegretta, Urban Sea, Galileo and Sea The Stars.

Camas Park Stud also offers a three-parts brother to Listed winner and Group-placed No Needs Never and a colt from the family of Group 2 Prix Guillaume d'Ornano scorer Al Hakeem.

The Castlebridge Consignment’s colt is particularly well bred, being out of a Galileo daughter of Group 1 Matron Stakes scorer Echelon in Elysian. She is a sister to the stakes-placed Provenance and a half-sister to Group 1 Sun Chariot and Falmouth Stakes victress Integral.

Another to look out for by No Nay Never’s top-level winning son is the Abbeville Stud-consigned half-brother to Listed winner Warnaq from the Classic-winning family of Star Of Seville.

One yearling who is also a half-sibling to a black-type scorer is Killulla Stud’s colt out of Giant’s Causeway mare McCool and from the family of Irish Derby hero Soldier Of Fortune, while Oak Lodge and Springfield House Stud’s colt is out of an Invincible Spirit half-sister to champion sprinter Blue Point and Group 2 Railway Stakes victor Formosina.

Recent black-type updates have come for Tradewinds Stud’s filly, a half-sister to Group 2 Lillie Langtry Stakes winner Term Of Endearment, while Castlehyde Stud’s colt is out of an Australia close relation to Group 1 Grand Prix de Paris winner Onesto.

Parkway Farm’s filly is also in possession of a fine page, being a half-sister to stakes winner Miss Lamai and out of a half-sister to the Group-winning One For Bobby. Further back in the page is champion sprinter Diktat.

Blackbeard’s quartet of representatives at Goffs Orby Book 2 include Whitehall Stud’s filly out of Frankel mare Aspirer, a daughter of Prix de Diane heroine Nebraska Tornado, as well as Baroda Stud’s filly from the immediate family of 2025 Group 3 Rose Of Lancaster Stakes scorer Royal Dubai.

Church View Stables consigns a filly out of an Oasis Dream three-parts sister to Group 2 scorer Hatta Fort, while The Castlebridge Consignment’s offering is a filly out of a half-sister to American Grade 3 winner Arles.
