Maximillian Lady (Maxios) Galway

Maxios Filly Impresses With Emphatic Galway Win

Maximillian Lady (4f Maxios - Lady Legacy, by Fame And Glory) recorded an emphatic first win under rules when landing the mares’ bumper at Galway on Monday.

The Cormac Farrell-trained filly had finished second in a Ballinrobe bumper last month and took another step forward to defeat her rivals by an impressive 13 lengths.

Ridden by Tommy Halford, the daughter of Maxios was settled towards the rear of the field but made smooth headway under three furlongs out. She took up the lead a furlong out and pulled clear for an authoritative victory, with Courtmac Gesture (by Walk In The Park) second and Evelyn (by Order Of St George) in third.

Halford said: “She did everything easy and went through the race very well. She quickened right up to the line, it was impressive.

“She had a lovely run the first time, I probably didn’t get the light I wanted when I needed it. She definitely improved again off it.”

Maximillian Lady was bred by Mr K Haverty.
