Maxios Foals On Point At Goffs

Foals by Maxios proved a hit at this week’s Goffs December National Hunt Sale, with a €45,000 colt leading the way for his progeny.

That foal was offered by Glen Stables and he hails from the family of Grade 1 Punchestown Gold Cup hero Merry Gale. He was bought by Upton Court Stables.

Another popular offering was Caroreigh Farm’s colt out of a half-sister to Grade 3-winning chaser Timeforwest and he sold to Little Broom Farms for €44,000.

In addition, Parkdota Stud’s colt from the family of multiple top-flight victor First Lieutenant made €40,000 to Michael Carty. His dam is a close relation to Grade 2 Scottish Champion Hurdle winner Cracking Rhapsody.
